In my opinion, Maximum the Hormone has successfully merged elements of ska, rock, heavy metal, punk even pop into one in their music....even the various vocals styles are present...the transition is smooth despite the major differences in style of the different genres...
Ue-chan's funky slappin' poppin' basslines is one of the highlights of the music for me..as not many bassists do slappin' poppin' in heavier music..
