Fantômas is an experimental avant-garde metal band, the band is named after an anti-hero from a french crime novel series. Fantômas's music incoporates many different musical genres and is highly experimental...what distinguishes Fantômas from other avant-garde metal bands is Mike Patton's(Vocalist, sampling) preference for his own bizarre style of vocals(scat singing). I applaud Fantômas's uniqueness.. but sometimes they do tread a fine line between music & noise with some off their more experimental stuff...
