{Cover Songs} Feeling Good (Anthony Newley & Leslie Bricusse) by Various Artists

GreasepaintLP

"Feeling Good" (aka Feelin' Good) is a song written by Anthony Newley and Leslie Bricusse for the 1965 musical The Roar of the Greasepaint—the Smell of the Crowd and since covered by many artists, including Nina Simone, Sammy Davis Jr., Traffic, Eels, Michael Bublé, The Pussycat Dolls, My Brightest Diamond, Muse, George Michael, Joe Bonamassa, John Barrowman, Adam Lambert, John Coltrane, David Hasselhoff, and Toše Proeski.” – Wikipedia

This must be one of the most covered songs of all time!

I actually heard Nina Simone & Muse’s version from my IPod on random rotation while traveling on the bus today…my IPod has over 16000 songs what are the odds of that?!!

Nina Simone's Soul/Jazz Version

John Coltrane's Jazz Version

Muse's Alternative Rock Version

Joe Bonamassa's Blues Version

Your blog came up when I googled the song. I was the rehearsal pianist for a group of undergrads at DePaul University in Chicago in the early 70's and this was/is one of my all-time favorite songs. Thanks for finding so many versions of it!
