My 7th guitar was an Epiphone Les Paul Plus (w/ Seymour Duncan PAF/JB pickups), i fell in love with the Les Paul sound instantly, its thicker, fuller & sustains longer than other guitar body types i've tried....i believe i sold off my RG550 around this time as i was playin' the LP alot more than the RG....
The Epi is pretty well-constructed & it looked beautiful..very nice flame top, but the tuners weren't stayin' in tune well & i think there was a tall fret somewhere can't really remember...it remained my number-1 until my Gibson came....of course it cannot compare with the Gibson...but its worth the price i paid....
