Porcupine Tree is a grammy-nominated band, amazingly the band started off as a collaborative hoax between Steven Wilson and Malcolm Stocks. They created a fictional legendary rock band, named The Porcupine Tree with nothing more than several hours of music and madeup stories of the band members & album titles.
Porcupine Tree's sound is a combination of rock, psychedelia and metal. With the metal sound alot more prominent in their later releases.
