Of the five bands, X-Tech is my favorite they're more "complete", i don't really like Edmushyta's vocals (he can sing.. but it just doesn't do it for me, personal opinion..)

I feel Fatskunks is the dark horse, they have an outside choice of winning, i do enjoy their performances....

Cucu Datok Merah's performance was alot better than their previous one, they used their vocal strength to much better effect this time, doing harmony instead of taking turns to sing...

Since i don't understand malay(yes i am not malay, in case you didn't know..), i didn't know the other guitarist, Irfan, pulled-out of the competition because of work commitments until erm.. just before posting this entry....

anyway since they decided to join the competition with the vocalist (Ramsey..?), Helven should just stick to rap since the dude can't really sing that well (no offence bro)..

Dropped by esplanade to watch Zero Sequence & Lunarin play last night....



missed half of Zero Sequence's set as i arrived late....their playing was great but the songs didn't really do it for me....

Waiting for Lunarin to start.....the Gibsons are up there already..

it was a great performance really tight, though there was a slight technical glich with the drums..

they played some new songs from their upcoming album...

...like "RED"

they also played "Carolline"

can't quite remember the other song titles....... :P

14th Guitar - Takamine EG361SC [G Series]

My 14th, Takamine EG361SC the most recent purchase got it a few months ago...primaryly for recording as i don't really play much acoustic stuff (i also can't play much acoustic stuff :P)

..so i did a little search on the Takamine site and found its birth date:
"The guitar was manufactured Tuesday, July 17th, 2007. It was the 97th guitar made that day."

that makes it 17072007, 97th guitar!

think i won't buy anymore guitars in 2008...... ;D

unfortunately, i don't play it as much as i would like to due to the locking mechanism (i play in several different tunings..so this isnt the most convenient..)

12th Guitar - Fender American Standard Strat

My 12th is another Fender, the old american standard...this pretty much handles all the softer stuff that i play..

everything is stock...i dont feel the need to change anything..

i sold off the Traditional strat after getting this...both are well constructed instruments but this just feels a bit more "solid" & has 1 more fret :D

this blogger's views are rather extreme....but does make some sense....
