15th Guitar - Yamaha APX-700II

So I sold my Takamine, it was a good guitar but I needed something with a slim body.

I tried several APX-700II & APX-500II at the store…off the rack the APX700II has every high action near the soundhole….the APX-500IIs seem to have lower action & more playable (to me at least).

I choose the APX-700II in the end, the solid top on the APX-700II produced a fuller sound.

The guitar is currently at TYMUSIC being setup & hopefully to achieve a much lower action.

Unfortunately, the Yamaha store does not help you lower the action.

    Hi Alan,

    You can file down the bridge saddle to lower the action.
    (I suggest bringing your guitar to a professional if you have no idea how to do it though)
