PRS Cables Releases Guitarbud [iPod and iPhone Interface]
“This must-have accessory allows you to plug your guitar directly into your iPhone and 2nd Gen iPod Touch (simultaneously with your headphones) for use with all guitar applications.
The guitarist’s interface fuses your instrument with your iPhone – Now the possibilities are as endless as the apps on your phone. With the Guitarbud even the simple Voice Memos™ app (that comes with your phone) can be used to record riffs or songs anywhere – instantly email your track to your friends. All your apps become more powerful – use your iPod tuner in a noisy crowded bar, record your next tune on the 4-track recorder that’s as close as your iPhone.
This powerful, portable guitarist’s interface, is designed specifically for musicians by Bond Music Research in conjuction with PRS Guitars; makers of PRS Signature Series Cables Guitar Cables.
Guitarbud is lightweight, flexible, and easily fits in your pocket. More than a simple adaptor, this 6 foot special instrument cable allows freedom of movement when you play, and links your headphones with your instrument.”

Pyramid Guitar Strings
Tried out a new brand of strings today, German-made pure nickle round wound “Pyramid Strings”.
The strings are “softer” than D’addarios, feels very comfortable and bend friendly, but lacks treble.
I feel Pyramid Strings are more suitable for Blues, Jazz and maybe Rock players, not that great for Metalheads.
For the price, think i’m likely to stick to the cheaper D’addario & Ernie Balls…
“Stringed” and ready to RAWK!!!

Hymns from the Blazing Chariot
‘Hymns from the Blazing Chariot’ a music video directed by award-winning filmmaker Jacen Tan which premiered at The Substation yesterday.
“Based on the song’s lyrics and concept, the explosive music video is a re-imagination of the ancient Sanskrit text‘The Bhagavad Gita’, one of the most important philosophical classics of the world.
Shot entirely in front of a green screen, the video with high production values is set to break the boundaries of Singapore indie film productions. It interweaves brutal band performances with storyline battle scenes, created with visual effects compositing and computer animation.
“It is a dream come true to make this video, which is a great visual representation of Rudra’s music,” says Kathir, bassist and vocalist of Rudra.” - Hosaywood

The Smashing Pumpkins – A Song For A Son
The Smashing Pumpkins releases a new track off their new album “Teargarden by Kaleidyscope”, the 44-song concept album will be released for free over the Internet, one song at a time…
This is what the Chicagotribune has to say about the new song:
“A Song for a Son” is a slow-build ballad, opening with pensive voice and keyboards and then gradually incorporating guitar, bass and drums in stately progression. It builds to a guitar solo, then falls back, finally winding up with carnival-like organ. The opaque lyrics are replete with images of sailors, tailors, unborn sons, space invaders and Icarus-like flame-outs. You want classic Corgan? Try the line about the "blown-out bird, the kind that don't return to the nest.” - chicagotribune.com
