According to what i’ve read online, his name doesn’t seem to have anything to do with Singapore (the country), but strangely his album spots the moon & stars too like the Singapore flag.

Yanic Bercier is the ex-drummer of the Canadian band Quo Vadis, which i am a big fan of.
He is recognized as one of Canada's top heavy metal drummers, known for his double bass drumming speed and accuracy.
Mostly self-taught Bercier has also learn from Bobby Jarzombek (Rob Halford, Spastic Ink, Demons and Wizards, Riot) & Keith Brown (a Professor in the Faculty of Music at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville)
Apart from music, Bercier has a Bachelor degree in Engineering Physics in 1998, a Master's degree in Medical Physics in 2000 & a Ph.D. degree in Physics in 2002.
